AADA Opens Free Enrollment for Digital & Practical Skills Training

August 2026 · Online

Enrollment for the Achebe Africa Digital Academy is open, and it is free to the learner.

AADA teaches digital and practical skills to Africans who want work, or who want to build something of their own. It is the Foundation’s flagship initiative, and it exists because the missing piece in most people’s path is neither ability nor willingness. It is access — to training worth the time it takes, to somebody who will answer a question, and to the first opportunity that turns a skill into an income.

Courses run on Achebe Campus, the Foundation’s learning platform. Learning online means a place on a course does not depend on living near a training centre or being able to afford the journey to one.

What enrollment includes

  • A place on a course, at no cost to the learner
  • Mentorship, rather than recorded lessons alone
  • Practical work, so you finish with something to show
  • Entrepreneurship support for learners building their own businesses
  • Access to a community of learners, mentors and professionals

Places are funded by the Foundation and its supporters rather than by the people taking them. That is the whole point: cost should not decide who gets to learn. Where demand runs ahead of what is funded, scholarships are how further places are opened.

AADA asks one thing in return, which is that you turn up and finish. A funded place left unused is a place somebody else wanted.

To enrol, see AADA courses and who AADA is for. Employers and training organisations who want to work with the Academy should read Partner with AADA. To fund a place for someone who cannot afford one, see Support AADA.
