Achebe Hope Foundation works across communities to identify needs, strengthen local capacity, and deliver sustainable interventions that improve lives. Guided by the belief that "charity begins at home," the Foundation has intentionally chosen to begin its humanitarian work in Ogidi. From there, it will expand across Anambra State, the South-East region, Nigeria as a whole, and ultimately, across Africa.

Achebe Hope Foundation began in Ogidi, Anambra State, and works from there and from a second office in Wuse 2, Abuja.
Reach and presence are not the same thing. Some communities host a standing programme. Others are reached once, through an outreach visit, a relief distribution, or a partner organisation working alongside us. Both count, they do not count equally, and this page will report them separately rather than combining them into a single flattering total.
How communities are reached
The published figures
The Foundation publishes headline figures of 5,000+ lives impacted, 120+ communities reached, 35+ projects completed, 50+ partners and supporters, and 200+ volunteers engaged. They are reproduced here as they are published elsewhere.
They are headline figures, and they should be read as estimates. A community-by-community breakdown — which community, which programme, which year, what was delivered — has not been published yet. Until it is, no one outside the Foundation can check the headline number, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. That breakdown will appear in the first impact report.
Where we intend to work
The Foundation’s stated long-term goal is to establish community programmes across all 36 states of Nigeria and to expand into other African countries. That is an ambition and is set out among our long-term impact goals. It is not a description of where we work today.
