Achebe Hope Foundation is an independent humanitarian and community development organisation committed to restoring hope, strengthening families and expanding opportunity for underserved communities across Africa.
Founded by Lolo Mrs. Marie Ifeoma Achebe and Chief Alex Ubaka Achebe (Ichele Ogidi), the Foundation was created from a simple belief: heritage carries responsibility. We honour that responsibility by investing in people, expanding access to education, empowering women and young people, supporting vulnerable children and families, and helping communities build stronger futures.
Our work goes beyond immediate relief. We believe lasting change happens when people are given not only support in moments of need, but also the knowledge, skills, resources and opportunities to build greater independence and create better futures for themselves and generations to come.
Through humanitarian outreach, education, maternal and child care, youth and women’s empowerment, community development, and flagship initiatives including the Achebe Africa Digital Academy and Achebe Campus, we are addressing the needs of today while building pathways to the opportunities of tomorrow.
We also believe that meaningful impact must be matched by accountability. Visitors, partners, donors and communities deserve to understand who we are, why the Foundation exists, how decisions are made and how resources are used. Our governance, policies and organisational documents are therefore made available through our Legal Centre.
Our Programmes show what we do. Our Impact shows what that work achieves. And from Ogidi in Anambra State to Abuja and communities beyond, our ambition is to build an organisation worthy of the trust placed in it.
