Achebe Hope Foundation has committed to publishing annual reports, impact assessments and financial disclosures. That commitment is set out in our Financial Accountability Policy and restated in our long-term impact goals.
The first annual report is in preparation. It has not been published. This page will hold it, and every edition after it, from the day it is ready.
What the annual report will contain
- A summary of the year’s work, programme by programme
- Income received, by source and by category
- Expenditure, separating what was spent on programmes from what was spent running the Foundation
- A governance report from the Board of Directors
- Partnerships entered into during the year
- Commitments and priorities for the year ahead
Why it is not here yet
A report of this kind is worth reading only if every figure in it can be stood behind. That needs a closed financial year, reconciled accounts, and programme records complete enough to report against. A provisional version would be read as final by the people it matters most to, which makes publishing one worse than publishing nothing.
What is available now
Until the first report is out, the Foundation’s published policies set out the standards it holds itself to — among them the Financial Accountability Policy, the Donation Policy and the Code of Ethics.
Donors, partners and funders who need financial or programme information before publication should contact the Foundation and ask for it.
