The Achebe Hope Foundation Community, hosted on Achebe Campus, is a vibrant network of changemakers, volunteers, partners, students, professionals, entrepreneurs and compassionate individuals united by a shared commitment to creating lasting impact across Africa.
Whether you are looking to learn, contribute, collaborate or grow, there is a place for you here.
The community lives on Achebe Campus at achebecampus.com, which is also the platform behind the Achebe Africa Digital Academy. Joining puts you in the same place as the learners, mentors and volunteers already there, rather than on a mailing list.
Member benefits
What the community is for
Three things, mainly. Learning, so that people building skills have somewhere to ask questions and somewhere to be answered. Contribution, so that when an outreach needs photographers or a school programme needs tutors, the request reaches people who already know the work. And connection, because a graduate looking for a first role and a business owner looking to hire are both easier to help when they are in the same room.
Members are the first to hear when volunteer roles, courses and events open. If you have been meaning to volunteer but have not found the right moment, this is usually where the moment appears.
Membership is open to anyone, wherever you are. You do not need to be a donor, a graduate or a volunteer to join, and there is no expectation that you become one. Plenty of members are simply people who want to follow the work closely, learn something useful and be within reach when help is needed.
What we expect of members
The community is moderated and it is meant to be useful. Members are asked to keep discussion civil, to respect the privacy of the people our programmes serve, and to leave selling and recruitment outside. Our Code of Ethics sets the tone, and the Safeguarding Policy applies to anything that touches a child or a vulnerable adult.
Concerns raised inside the community are handled the same way as concerns raised anywhere else in the Foundation. If something is wrong, tell us.
Joining
Registration is on Achebe Campus. Once you are in, introduce yourself and say what you are there for — learning, volunteering, mentoring or partnership. It makes it far easier to point you at something worth your time.
If you would rather speak to a person first, our offices are open Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (WAT), and you can reach us through the contact page.
